COVID-19 Law Enforcement Officer Burns Woman with Hot Cooking Oil in Gulu.


Alanyo Joyce-30s a mother of one is in a very painful situation when one of the enforcement officers for Covid-19 suspected to be working with Bar Dege Division (Gulu district Covid-19 task force) kicked the fraying suspect with oil and landed on her chest.

Joyce who is a single mother was fraying chicken opposite Gulu Independent Hospital to support her livelihood when the errant unidentified man came and kicked saucepan burning her chest, breast and the neck.

“The law enforcement officer jumped from the vehicle while was carrying the fraying saucepan and kicked it straight away on my chest”, Alanyo narrates.

The nasty incident happened yesterday evening

He claimed to be enforcing the presidential directive on covid-19 curfew.

Alanyo is now at Gulu Regional Referral Hospital seeking treatment, she is most likely to undergo a surgical operation, but the whole chest has now swollen.

“Right now, I am feeling more pain than yesterday, I am still going to the surgical ward but I don’t know if they are going to help me”, she told me on phone.

President Yoweri Museveni had warned crimes preventers to stay off the operation as the army and the police are mandated to conduct the operation mindfully

While speaking yesterday, president Museveni warned the security to restrain from the merciless beating of the civilians while executing their duties, they should instead handcuff the culprits.
